Many registrants came in with the same name

I have no idea how this happened, but about 25% of the registrants joined with the same name--one of the other registrant's name.  So even though I only invited one "Joe Smith," about 25 joiners' name defaulted at "Joe Smith."  Can anyone help me with how this might have happened?  Joe Smith was not a co-host or anything.  Just another registrant.

Can you make it clearer?

I figured out what happened.  Apparently, when registration is required. Zoom sends out a personal confirmation email to each registrant with a join link.  The link they are sent is tied to their name.  My boss, trying to be helpful, forwarded her join link to multiple participants as a reminder of the meeting.  Said participants simply clicked on her link, and voilà, they came in with her name.
