Exclude participants from breakout rooms

There really needs to be a way to exclude certain participants from being counted for breakout room assignment.

If you want certain participants excluded from your breakout rooms you need to create breakout rooms and select 'Assign Manually'.

In that way, you can only assign those participants that you want.

I know that's one option, but it's not going to be feasible to spend minutes manually assigning 50 people to a dozen rooms, just so I can exclude 3-4 people. I would really like to be able to exclude 3-4 people, and then have Zoom automatically assign the rest randomly.

To exclude one or two participants from a breakout room what i do is I put them in a separate breakout rooms (by creating additional rooms) and then at the end they are brought back to main session automatically. this does require some manual work to move them after random assignment but it is easier than doing them all manually

Hi Nick, I make the people I don not want included co-hosts and then exclude co-hosts from the break outs.
