Chat in landscape mode in Android app?

I am streaming live tours using the Android app, video streaming always in landscape mode.  When I see a message in chat and press the Chat button, it goes to portrait. I can't turn the phone around as this will spin what the viewers are watching in landscape. How do I get the chat to appear in landscape mode?
And is there a way to view chat in the main meeting screen alongside the video image as in the desktop app?

I wish someone could answer. I’m having the same problem with the chat orientation on my iPhone.

This is a huge problem, could someone from Zoom please register this is a bug?

Two years later and this is still an issue (on iPhone, too). Mind-boggling.
