Hi,

Struggling to find an option that lets me email people with a scheduled zoom link, allowing them to add an .ics or add to calendar link.

The pages and instructions I've followed don't seem to give current advice.

Such as: Enabling webinar email ICS calendar attachments (zoom.com)

But there is no .ics option in any of my settings...

Looking at previous options that suggest scheduling it as a recurring event hasn't proved successful for me either.

Any help appreciated, thanks.

Why is Zoom using Outlook to notify attendees of a meeting?

Super frustrating problem: When I am scheduling a Zoom meeting, I am adding the email addresses of my attendees in the Attendees box. But then, when I create Zoom opens up Outlook, and requires me to invite the invitees again. It then sends the invite from my the calender tied to the Exchange 365 account I have.

But that is my work account. My Zoom account has nothing to do with my work email account. And I don't want invites coming from my work account. The calendar integration I have selected is a Google Account, not a Microsoft account. (see it here). Yet every time, no matter what I do, it sends invites by opening outlook and demanding I again enter the addresses.

I suspect this might be due to a recent update (see it here). But I can't find any place to change what's described there.

Help? I'm working on a Mac. You can see a screen recording of the problem here

EDIT: Zoom Support has confirmed Engineering has identified the root cause of this issue and is working on a fix. No ETA to the patch, but I'll update this thread once it's confirmed resolved.

Original Post:

I'm onboarding a new EA, and probably the most critical piece of their setup isn't functioning.

When trying to schedule for someone, they receive the error:

""Schedule For" is not available because Shared Access Permissions is not enabled. Click here to visit Zoom Marketplace and enable "Allow this app to use my shared access permissions" for the Google Workspace app from the Shared Access Permissions column."

What I've done so far:

Spent two hours on a call with the user testing literally everything. I set up my own user as having scheduling privileges for the first time, the exact same way we did hers. Mine worked, hers didn't. I tried it with a new Google Workspace user. It didn't work for the new Google Workspace user. All testing was done on fresh browser sessions (new Chrome profiles).

I have tried toggling anything that could be toggled; authorizations are 100% correct, and I've tried re-doing them. Signing out and back into everything.

The only difference between "works" and "doesn't work" appears to be the age of the Google Workspace accounts in question; I can get it to work on older accounts, but if I create an account right now then Zoom doesn't recognize the Shared Access Permissions as being authorized.

I'm out of ideas 😞 please help

Hi,

I work as an assistant and schedule lots of zoom meetings for my boss. I've noticed since the update (we have Version: 5.16.10 (25689)), that every time I schedule a meeting and add it to my boss's calendar and invite the other attendees, once I save the event MY gmail is automatically added as an attendee. So then if I'm not in the meeting I have to go back in and delete myself. Is there any way to turn this off?

I had a situation (n=3) where the scheduled meetings in Zoom disappeared from account.  When folks went to login, meeting link was no longer valid.

ZOom support says it is connected to my Google calendar and if I delete from Google calendar, it will delete from account.  Never wanted any connection to my Google calendar anyway...I don't use Google calendar for work.

Any suggestions to disconnect all communication between Zoom and Google?

Whenever I try to login with gmail on the zoom app it takes me to the sign in tab. But, if I select my account, it redirects me to a page which states "Sorry, something went wrong there. Try again." IF I click next (which is at the bottom of the screen) it brings me to another page which says:

400. That’s an error.

The server cannot process the request because it is malformed. It should not be retried. That’s all we know.

I cannot access my zoom meetings unless I am signed in with gmail. Please get back to me when possible...

Thank you, Vahan

I'm currently in the job search process and have encountered this problem three separate times now.

1) The recruiter/hiring manager sends me a regular email saying they scheduled our meeting via Zoom.

2) I do not receive an invitation via email from Zoom, nor does the meeting appear on my Zoom schedule on the desktop app/web app or Google Calendar. An invite email is not in my Spam/Junk folder.

3) I email the recruiter/hiring manager asking them to resend the invitation or meeting link, but they assure me I was sent the invitation and they can see me as "accepted" on their end.

4) I have to ask them to send the meeting details via email anyway, which makes me look entirely unprofessional.

Is this a known issue? How can I ensure my email is whitelisted by Zoom? I did the "test email" function with the chat bot, which are delivered, but I don't get any other Zoom emails.
