Hi,

When I create a webinar there's now a sentence that appears on the registration page that I've never seen before. Does anyone know where I can find this sentence in the system to edit it?

It says "Information you provide when registering will be shared with the account owner and host and can be used and shared by them in accordance with their Terms and Privacy Policy."

We're getting a negative reaction about the word "share". It implies that we're sharing their personal information with others. I want to reword the sentence so that it doesn't alarm people. Also the anchor text "account owner" is not accurate anchor text to describe where the link goes. It does not go to information about the account owner. It goes to the Zoom article called "Understanding Zoom privacy alerts". (which in itself is confusing because it doesn't differentiate between attending meetings and attending webinars.)

If we can't edit it, I suggest that Zoom reword it to something like "Information you provide when registering can be viewed by the account owner. Each account owner is responsible for protecting personal information in accordance with legislation in their jurisdiction. The account owner may have a publicly posted Privacy Policy. Learn more about privacy by reading Understanding Zoom privacy alerts.

All I can find in tutorials is to tell them to uninstall and reinstall Zoom. That's not an acceptable solution in this case.

I disabled it in Account Management, Settings, Webinars, Security. Also in each scheduled event.

We can click into each event to see the registrants, but I would like to know if we can surface those insights to the webinar host without a manual report pull.

We’re trying to track who joins and attends per webinar session.

I have webinars set up with a waiting room (being webinars attendees can't join before the host). I use a Zoom registration page but I only use it to capture basic info so I can record attendance, I use other systems to register attendees and manage the communications. I collect first name, last name, email and an ID number from my organisation.

When I enable that registration and attendees join before the host they go to page saying they're registered and sit there after the host has opened the webinar (unless they log in again or refresh the screen).

I would like to have a waiting room enabled as it is now, and have the registration page so I can collect that basic data for attendance (the info Zoom collects automatically is not useful a lot of the time, I can't mark attendance when it records someone's name as '01897762' or 'Joe's iPad' when there are 3 Joes initially registered and not all have attended). So I would like people to enter the registration details and go straight into the waiting room even if the host hasn't started the webinar. Is this possible?

thanks

I recently changed my sign-in email on my account.  It was confirmed and the new email is now active.  When I create a new event the host email address that shows up on the invite is still the old address.  I want it to be the new email address.  Is there somewhere else I must change this?

We use the Marketo and Zoom api connection.  After the Zoom Event concludes, Zoom should report the status of each person that registered as either "No Show" or "Attended Live".  For the past 6 months, Zoom has reported all registrars as "No Show" except our internal team.  The internal team includes the event creator and panelists.  In order for Marketo to have the correct program status, we have to manually refresh the data from Zoom.  After the manual refresh the "No Show" and "Attended Live" status are updated and corrected.

All of our lead routing and post event emails are trigger based.  We need the correct post event processes applied to the correct status.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!  Why is Zoom not pushing the correct attendance data the first time?  How can we fix this issue?

Resolved! Lite-Version vs Fullversion

Hello,
I have created several webinars in Zoom. Now I see that there are different versions.
Lite version and full version.
Unfortunately, I can't find out how they differ. Does anyone from the forum here know?

Best Regards

If you create an event and unselect 'require a passcode', Zoom still asks for a passcode. There are endless threads on this with no working resolution. Even when I enable a passcode once again, the user will get an email saying meeting details have been updated, but the passcode doesn't work there either.

Is anyone actually using this?

Webinar Registration Confirmation emails not being received

I will be hosting a webinar with 3000+ participants later this month.  All attendees sign up for the event on a separate (non-Zoom) platform and then we register the attendees (via CSV upload) into Zoom.  We are hearing from a disturbingly large number of attendees that they did not receive their Zoom registration confirmation email.  The emails are not found in the recipient's inbox or spam folders.  Having them search for emails from '***********' also does not produce the registration confirmation email.  Resending the confirmation email (an incredibly time-consuming process now that Zoom has inserted a 60-second countdown timer between resends) produces mixed results; some attendees receive the subsequent email while most do not.

So far, Zoom technical support has advised two things:

1) tell the recipients to contact their email server provider and ask them to unblock all of the 50+ IP addresses that Zoom uses to send confirmation emails; what?  Have attendees contact their email server?  99.9% of people have no idea how to do that.

2) the most recent Zoom technician says that they are getting an increasing number of reports about this problem and the Engineering department is looking into it.

My concern is that - on the day of the event - I will be overcome by a huge number of angry and stressed-out registrants who can't access the webinar because they never received the registration confirmation.  So, what is my solution?  I can't simply hand out unrestricted access links; the event could easily be overwhelmed by non-registered attendees who seize on the opportunity to get a free ride.  If we use the waiting room, we simply won't have enough time to verify and then permit access to 3000+ people.  With the 60 second delay Zoom imposes on resending confirmations, doing that is something that would literally take hours.  Also, resending confirmations only sends the email to the same email address that wasn't receiving the Zoom emails in the first place.

Any suggestions on how I can avoid an event meltdown?

I'm at a loss.  I have an on-demand webinar that requires registration to view, but DOES NOT require a webinar passcode.  Here are my settings:

However, users who are registering for the webinar are being asked for a passcode after completing their registration.  This is the screen that pops up after registration (note, registrants are also not receiving a passcode via email post registration either):

We want users to view the webinar after registering.  Can anyone help?
