Hi All,

 

Every once in a while an update will push out for Zoom Rooms, and Zoom Rooms won't let us start or join any meetings. Pretty much, if an update pushes out, Zoom Rooms won't work until we update it.

 

The issue is that we won't know when an update gets pushed out and a very important meeting will be scheduled. And we don't find out that the room needs to be updated until after the meeting was supposed to start. 

 

Is there a way to stop updates from locking up Zoom Room? O

using macro on Cisco SX20 to join via meeting ID only works for personal ID and not auto-generated

anyone has an idea on why when using the Macro/button to join via zoom crc on a cisco SX20/80, it only works when the 'Personal ID' is used, but if the meeting was set using an auto-generated Meeting ID it will not work?

Went to start a Zoom Meeting this morning on the Echo Show 8, like the previous 200+ times.

Zoom started up fine, but when starting the meeting a new message appeared : 

Some of your Zoom Rooms devices need to be upgraded to join this meeting. Please contact IT for assistance.

 

Executed a full factory reset

Echo Show 8 : Device is running Fire OS 7.5.5.9 (PS7559/3536)

No Application Updates available.

 

Help. Any one else experiencing this problem?

(We did run the meeting on another PC device, but would like the Echo Show 8 to work)

So it appears that after the 5.14.2 update "Chat" is no longer visible or available from the Zoom iPad Controller. As a participant I can see chat and submit questions/comments, but from the Zoom iPad I cannot see anything. In an event as a person fielding Q&A or commentary we are completely in the blind. Any chance this is roadmapped to be restored?

The ID has been the same for years, but is not mine. Thus I always have to click on a link that I saved somewhere else. I would like to save this link INSIDE the zoom client, but I don't understand how I can do this.

Since the Zoom Rooms 5.13.6 update, I cannot change my Zoom Rooms background. I change it as I always have (as in this article: https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/204674889-Customizing-your-Zoom-Rooms-background) but it stopped working as soon as I was forced to update to 5.13.6. I have restarted the computer displaying Zoom Rooms, logged out and back in, exited and reopened, however nothing is working.

 

Any help is appreciated. It looks like this may be a bug with the update.

Hello there,

I am facing an issue with Zoom not working on my Amazon Echo Show 8. After logging in, it does not allow me to join meetings and suggests upgrading the rooms.

Currently, the Zoom version on my Echo is 5.12, while the latest available version (at the time of writing) is 5.15. I attempted to follow the instructions from support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/204675449-Upgrading-or-downgrading-Zoom-Rooms#h_1751c48a-644e-4a60-b96a-31ec77c616e6, but unfortunately, the app on the Echo did not upgrade, and a popup message saying "No device(s) upgrade available." appeared.

Is there any workaround for this issue? Thanks in advance!
