I was introduced to Zoom many years back and have used it for 'personal' meetings occasionally every since. All was good until about a year+ ago - when I could NOT connect with what used to have been a 'normal' meeting before. The problem turned out to be the 'app' (Zoom) that I had been using all along had been replaced by a newer 'default' - zoomeetings (or some such). After I figured that out, and was able to select from 'other apps' (picking original 'zoom' choice) I was happily back on track.

Today I tried to join a zoom ('webinar'?) meeting and could NOT find any 'app' choice like before. In fact the selection option sent me to my Files looking for something that Zoom figured I had there. No joy.

I am NOT a 'mobile' user nor wish to be. Yes I am a 'free' (aka Basic) user so understand why Zoom could care less about me and my usage since I'm not paying into Zoom. However, the reality is that there ARE other live chat options and if Zoom does not care if I can participate in (Zoom) webinars for their PAYING members, then so be it.

IF Zoom would be so kind as to have an 'APP' referral reference page - explaining which app needed for what meeting. perhaps I and others can continue to use Zoom. Otherwise its so long time.

Hi Zoom

When a meeting is being automatically recorded users have only 2 options:

  1. Continue
  2. Leave Meeting

In some cases participants want to join the meeting without being recorded. They can't notify the host they don't want to be recorded without joining the call that's being recorded by default. Can you please add a third option:
- Continue without being recorded << this would stop the recording the moment the participants joined the meeting. The host can start the recording again once that participants leaves the meeting and ask for consent verbally.

HIPAA Compliance of Polls

I am trying to find information regarding the HIPPA compliance of Zoom polls but have  come up empty handed. Does anyone have any information they can share regarding whether or not Zoom Polls are HIPAA compliant?

Hi Zoom Community

We're encountering problematic behaviour with Google Calendar > Make it a Zoom Meeting Add-on for Google Calendar Zoom Scheduler Chrome Extension.

The future-dated meeting is automatically being scheduled as now (today) instead of the correct future date.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Log in to Google Calendar
  2. Add a meeting on a future date (e.g. Saturday 03rd December 2022 at 10 am)
  3. Select the Make it a Zoom Meeting button

The Zoom meeting toast notification pops up (Windows 11) and displays that the meeting is scheduled for now (today) instead of the date selected in the Google Calendar event.

If you view the Zoom Meeting calendar https://zoom.us/meeting#/upcoming you can see that the meeting has been incorrectly scheduled for now(today) instead of the selected future date. (e.g. Saturday 03rd December 2022 at 10 am).

Has anyone else encountered this issue? It has only started happening this week. I'm assuming perhaps something to do with the new Zoom/Google Calendar and mail integration feature.

Thanks
Jon

I am unable to join a meeting on my iPad that doesn’t have a meeting ID. The meeting I am tryin to join is through their app. The pop up to join the meeting doesn’t show up for me. If I click on join through browser a screen shows up that says I need to switch on my camera and microphone. But I switched everything on in the settings and my pop up blocker is disabled. Any advice?

The December 20, 2022 release  (5.13.0) touts the new “Q&A for Meetings“ functionality, but fails to mention that this is only for Business or higher accounts – and does not include Pro accounts. Only when you get to the Prerequisites in this Zoom Support article do you find that Pro accounts are left out.

It’s sad to see Zoom increasing the disparity between Pro and Business (or higher) accounts by not including “Q&A for Meetings” in Pro accounts.

Hi,
I want to integrate Zoom into the new Splunk Incident Intelligence product to allow our teams to create a zoom call when we create an incident but I'm not finding much information on how to integrate it. I've gone to the Zoom marketplace but it looks like that's just used if I want to build an app to integrate into Zoom.
I've attached a screenshot of the information that is required to integrate. Any help in pointing me in the direction of where to find the API key and API secret would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Seeing others internet connection

If I am a participant in a meeting, will the host be informed if my internet connection is low?

I know zoom alerts me if my connection is bad, but does it alert the host as well?

Thanks for your help!
