We plan on having over 100 students to join four different breakout sessions. However, we have a hard time renaming them to enter them into the different rooms(i.e. Student Name (1), Student Name (2), )etc. Once they are in the breakout, they don't need to change but the Main Speakers will just move between breakrooms for the sessions. We have done this for two years but the renaming each student takes time. Is there a way to randomize the participants into even breakout rooms? Thank you.

"I need help with the Zoom settings. I want to co-host a meeting with a friend where I play the piano and he talks, but one of us always gets automatically muted." I am using a Macbook Pro m2. I got a workaround with Blackhole and Loopback, but it is extremely complicated and only partially fixes the problem, because my cohost hears himself twice.

Are recordings public?

I just got informed by someone who joined my meeting that they were shown a message by zoom warning that the meeting was being recorded (which it was) and would be public (which I didn't know and don't want).

 

How do I change that?

Disabling auto microphone and video settings when recording meetings

I have a Pro account. I have been recording meetings for 3 years with no problem. All of a sudden last week, participants who joined the meeting after I started recording were unable to start their video and got a message that says something like "Ho... Show more

I have a Pro account. I have been recording meetings for 3 years with no problem. All of a sudden last week, participants who joined the meeting after I started recording were unable to start their video and got a message that says something like "Host has disabled your video for this meeting." I did not make any changes to my meeting settings so I have no idea why this is happening all of a sudden. After much searching, I found the following statement in Zoom support: "If enabled by Zoom, you can automatically have participants' microphones muted and video off when they join a meeting with recording or live streaming in progress." What does "In enabled by Zoom" mean and how do I find this setting? I would like to disable this (i.e., I don't want my participants' video automatically off) but I can't find this option ANYWHERE. I am the account owner and searched all of my settings.

Unstable zoom video

After the latest Zoom update, my video connection began intermittently freezing and jerking.  I tried checking my camera, rebooting my computer as well as unintalling and reinstalling Zoom.  None of that has helped.  This has also happened to a few other meeting participants.  I have windows 11.

Zoom Update

Recurring meetings scheduled prior to the update are no longer visible in Zoom.  Any suggestions?

Everyone else can see eachother, and everyone can see me, but I can't see anyone except myself.

Please advise on how to fix.  It's extremely uncomfortable to participate in meetings this way (no ability to read body language, facial expressions, etc.)

This has occurred with meetings originating from multiple different clients.

At one point the issue suddenly seemed resolved, then it started again.

Zoom staff will not provide support.

 

I am using Opera as my browser on a Windows machine.
