2 Questions Regarding Merging Accounts

gsnetxTech
Listener

We've had a subsidized account for the last 2 years and that is ending. Now we must move the contents of some 60 individual accounts into about 10 departmental accounts.

First question is, can we merge the contents of multiple zoom accounts into a single one?  Or would it be better just to off-load the content and store it if it ever should be needed?

Second question - just to verify, when creating a new account with the same credentials as another, Zoom will merge those accounts - keeping the new one and removing the old?

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

Deleting a user will permanently remove the user, including their settings, meetings, webinars, and recordings, from Zoom. You can transfer the user's data (meetings, webinars, and cloud recordings) to another user before deletion. Meetings scheduled with Personal Meeting ID cannot be transferred. Deactivating a user will remove all licenses associated with a user and prevent them from signing in to their Zoom account. Deactivation allows you to reactivate a user later. Although the licenses have been removed, the settings will remain intact.

Sharing accounts (even departmental accounts) is against Zoom's TOS. Users will get prompted to enter a One Time Code when the Zoom server sees new IP addresses that aren't in line with what it thinks is the normal device or location for that licenced user account.
