Can no longer live stream to my Facebook page or Facebook groups from Zoom

After years of happily streaming into my Facebook Page and Facebook Group from Zoom, I can no longer see this as an option when I go to Live stream from a Zoom call.

I have re-set my Live streaming settings in Zoom, unticking and re-ticking Facebook, and have also cleared my browsers cookies and caches too. I've also tried using a different web browser but the same problem persists.

I recently changed my Page's name and handle, so this could be a factor, but I still can't find any way to get Zoom to pick up my Page and Groups as an option for a Facebook stream.

Has anyone else had this happen and found a solution?

My job relies on this so any help would be much appreciated!

Facebook changed their API for groups on April 23, making it so that you can no longer livestream to a group using the tools that you used to from zoom. The work around is use webinars and enable custom streaming service (custom RTMP), set up a live inside your group and connect the zoom setup. There is someone on the community forum that figured it out and I have used his method multiple times. It takes a few tries to get used to the steps, but it isn't bad once you do it a few times. I am having the same issue. I see that others are as well. I hope Zoom can get this sorted out soon.

I am getting the option to share to "My Pages" but like you I run my business giving access to a closed off private group, which I now no longer am given the option to share to.

Have you found any solutions yet?

Thanks so much, Ray. I will read this. Much appreciated.

About to check into what Darren shared as well.

Thanks for this Ray - definitely a solution for the groups but not for my Page, so will let people know if I manage to get that part of it sorted with Zoom.

VERY HELPFUL, thank you - thought I'd have to buy yet another app to make it work like it used to. But what about sharing screen for slideshows, if you're not using "Zoom" per se, how do you handle live streaming presentations into FB Groups?

Thanks so much, Darren! I will give this a try.

Much appreciate. 😉

Welcome to the Zoom Community, @yvesanbo.

Not sure why you wouldn't use Zoom to Share Screen for slideshows.

There are many tools that live-stream: OBS Studio is a popular, feature-rich, and free program that runs on Windows, Mac, and Linux.

I am not seeing "steam to live streaming service" via zoom drop down menu. Was that taken away too?

I've streamed into my private FB Group a few times now, using the Custom Streaming Service option, and I actually like it better than the previous way.  Primarily because once you set it up, Zoom remembers what you want to do and it's a very simple set up.  A little hair raising to have to learn it, but smooth as silk once you've done it once or twice.

I'm not even seeing the streaming option on my zoom menu to choose "live streaming service."

@yvesanbo, are you able to see this option in the Zoom menu? This is the one I have now been using, per Darren's instructions.

No I do not see that on Zoom interface. I don't have that option on my drop down menu inside of Zoom.

OK, then I would reach out to Zoom tech support. The screenshot you used in a message further up is not showing the very bottom of the Zoom dropdown menu. "Live on Twitch" is the last item showing on your list, but we cannot see the bottom of that menu. Anyway, yes, reach out to tech support, as that is very strange. 😉

I have a similar problem and did every thing as Isobela1984 did or found on the forum as a solution. I followed the recommendations from the Vimeo video for FB Groups with no result.

I ask the chat bot and got moving in circles doing the same thing over and over again.

I still can't make Zoom (paid account) stream to a page.

My work depends on it and I must find a solution even if it is outside Zoom.

Can anybody help?

Can  anybody help me?

Welcome to the Zoom Community, @IreneNRB.

It would help to have screen shots of Zoom and Facebook info at the point where it no longer works.

Hi Ray_Harwood!

The last time when I started streaming,  the pages were not available, only my personal profile. So now I followed all the instructions from Zoom and Facebook to connect to the Custom streaming service, including your Vimeo video.

I can see that the stream is on, but I can't move to the second from 3 stages to start the Facebook live. I have filled in all details of the post, edited and re-edited but the software still shows that I have to input details of the post.

I am not allowed to attach an image nor a link to Google photos.

Two things come up for me when I consider your problem @IreneNRB.

  1. You say you can't make Zoom stream to a "page."  My understanding was that that ability didn't change, when FB made the changes to Groups in April.  You could still stream out to Individual Timelines and Pages in the previous manner, i.e. by selecting "Live on Facebook."  Did you actually mean "page" or "Group?"
  2. If you meant Group, and you're not seeing the option for it, did you check your Settings and make sure you enabled ALL the options for streaming, including the Custom Live Streaming Service?

Hi again, @IreneNRB.

The third state is clicking the Go Live button on the lower left of the Facebook page where all your live-streaming info is located.
