About Me (My Bio)

As the Global Education Solutions Lead for Zoom Video Communications, Pat LaMorte leverages his extensive education and communications background to guide the company towards supporting the future of education. As the former President/CEO of one of Florida’s Catholic High Schools, Pat immersed himself in educational technology, Curriculum alignment across grade-levels, school finance, Technology Enabled Active Learning Labs. Pat earned an Ed-Leadership certification from Kean University and implemented his unique knowledge to serve more significant academic outcomes for his students.

During Pat’s tenure at Zoom, he has been instrumental in helping thousands of schools navigate the transition to virtual and hybrid learning. He is considered a thought leader and is a sought out public speaker for many of the largest education-focused events in the nation. Pat’s passion for improving equitable access to education by enhancing technology to engage, inspire and elevate student achievement serves as the cornerstone to his success.

Excited to participate!  I'm curious to see how schools will adapt to the new norm of hybrid learning - live / remote - and to gain more insight into  the critical LMS/SIS and other third-party applications required to deliver a superior admin / teacher / student experience.

I'm glad Zoom is doing this...we're all fighting common battles, we have to stop fighting them alone.

I'm at a more traditionally minded school which is slow to adopt anything technology.  I'm still curious as to how far our faculty will go to keep integrating Zoom into their classes, even as we head back to some kind of "normal." I'm optimistic.

From my conversations, keeping Zoom as your campus communications platform is where it starts. Bringing guest lecturers, digital field trips, community members into the class for richer experiences in learning. Other uses commonly seen are parent teacher conferences, IEP meetings, tutoring, Club and activity events, live streaming sports and performances to your schools Facebook page. Admin teams can save time and money by having Zoom meetings or Zoom Room spaces for wireless sharing and no more mileage reimbursements. Zoom Phone creates a seamless communications tool, with very advanced features like E-911 and nomadic 911. Call masking, and full feature set from anywhere in the world.
