severe static noise in the first 5 minutes of every zoom call

my microphone crackles or is extremely staticky in the first five minutes of every call then it goes away. I have been told it's so staticky that they can't understand me.

What Zoom application you are using such as Zoom Meetings or Zoom Phone?

 

What client or app are you using?  Install the latest Zoom client or app.  As of 4/28/2024, Zoom Windows current version is 6.0.4.

 

What microphone are you using, manufacturer, model, wired or wireless, bluetooth or dect?  Install the latest device drivers for your microphone.

 

If a wireless microphone, replace the battery or if a rechargeable battery, make sure it is fully charged.

 

If the microphone uses a USB connection or a USB dongle, unplug the microphone or dongle and then plug it back in.  Try plugging into a different USB port.

 

What microphone settings are you using?  Try unchecking 'automatically adjust microphone volume' to see if this stops the static.

 

Check your PC processing resources in terms of CPU and Memory.  Close unnecessary programs to free up resources.
