If a participant leaves a separate meeting room in the meantime and returns to the plenary room, I can no longer reassign the participant to the separate meeting room. I only see that the participant is 'not participating'. I cannot select this participant in the 'Add participants' text box because the participant does not appear there. The participant remains standing under the separate meeting room with the text 'not participating'.

Previously, I could reassign a particpant without problems. What has changed in Zoom and how do I do this now? Or is this a bug?

Only if the participant completely leaves the meeting and then logs in again, can I select the participant again under 'Add participants' and add them back to the breakout room.

I just noticed a few new camera features have rolled out and I thought I'd try them.

First, we finally can rename cameras without using regedit!

Boundary framing promises to solve a problem I have in several of my rooms. I have a camera at the back of the room which zooms way in on a speaker at a podium. Sometimes speakers wander off to point at the big screen, so if the camera could follow them, that would be great!
I went through the process documented on this Zoom KB and the setup went well once I found the tiny "set camera boundary" button. I zoomed in on the area where a speaker might wander, walked around, confirmed head tracking. It was looking great.

I then tried it in a meeting. I started with manual framing, zoomed in as usual. I switched to auto-framing and nothing changed. I wandered off to one side and the camera zoomed all the way out (bad). I stood in my new position within the area I had set, and the camera zoomed back in eventually. I walked back to the podium, and again the camera zoomed all the way out, and never moved again. All the way out is useless for the viewer.

This is a AVer Cam 540 with Zoom running on a Win11 PC.

Hi,

due to security concerns we discussing deactivating our Outlook EWS for external. We use Zoom Rooms with Outlook Calendar integration. So the question is, does Zoom Room need external EWS? And is it possible to name a source IP so that we can build network rules to protect the EWS?

Thanks and regards

I'm setting up a new Zoom Room with a Neat Bar Pro and Neat Pad controller.

Everything is working as expected except the Neat Sense environmental monitoring. It's supposed to report the Temperature, Humidity, VOC, and CO2 in the room. It's showing the Temperature onscreen and it's showing the Temperature and Humidity on the Settings page of the controller.

However, nothing shows up on the Zoom Dashboard under "Air Conditions" for this room.

I have another Zoom Room with a Neat Board in it. I'm setting up a new Zoom Room with a Neat Bar Pro and Neat Pad controller.

The Neat Board and the Neat Bar Pro are both running 5.12.6 (2097) and both the Neat Pad controllers are running 5.12.6 (1612).

Neither Zoom support nor Neat support have an answer. I'm wondering if Neat Sense is just not fully functional on the Neat Bar Pro or if I have a defective unit.

Does anyone have one that is showing the "Air Conditions"?

Hi all,

We have recently activated the Zoom  Room Check-In feature on a subset of our meeting rooms, and overall I think it works very well.
After surveying our end users after a few weeks, the most common complaint is a use case that Zoom have not taken account of.

In a scenario where a meeting room is booked with a Zoom Link included, frequently the meeting will not have any remote users (remote users on-site that day, on leave, no requirement to join) - and the meeting will be in-person only (1-1 meeting etc).
When this situation occurs, there is no way to check into the meeting. The "check-in" button is not available on the controller tablet/device, as the room assumes that the Zoom Call will be joined.
If the in-house meeting does not have any need for a screen share, the room will not be checked in.

This is causing frustration to our users as this scenario occurs quite often.
So the only way to check into that meeting, is to join the call and end the call.

I feel like the Tablet Device should have the "join" button AND the Check-In button.

Does anyone know if there is a way around this, or if this is something that Zoom are aware of and the option of the 2 buttons (Join, Check-In) is something that will be released in a later update?

Many thanks,
Brian
