We’ve been using NDI with Zoom Rooms into a Tricaster successfully for some time now. Great quality. After the last Zoom Rooms update, though, I have noticed the occasional signal breakup (green horizontal bolts) on one or two random output channels. Usually, it happens during events with more than two participants, though not always. The breakup interestingly never affects the share screen output and the breakup doesn’t show on the Zoom Room screen. The quick fix has been to change the output “channel” to another NDI output. That, however, isn’t always the final solution. In time, that channel breaks up too and we switch to yet another NDI output. The Zoom Rooms box is a core i9 and the network is not stressed. I changed the Cat6 cable and no change. I am able to get NDI output using another app (VideoCom) without issue. Anyone else seen this or have ideas?

Hi Team,

I'm not sure if anyone has experienced this issue, but every time I share my laptop screen with video in a Zoom Room, the audio plays from both the laptop and the Zoom Room speaker where I'm sitting. It's a bit annoying, and other users have reported the same problem. Is there any way to ensure that the audio only comes from the Zoom Room speakers and not from the laptop that we're sharing the screen from?

Hello. It is required per California Code that all conference rooms with audio/video be equipped with an assistive listening system. I have a small, simple conference room with one screen, running a Zoom Rooms appliance (say, a Neat Bar or a Logitech Rally Bar).  I need this appliance to give me an aux audio output (e.g. 3.5mm jack) that contains the call audio that I can feed into the audio input of my assistive listening transmitter.

  1. So far I haven't found any all-in-one Zoom Appliance that has an aux audio out - do you know of any out there?
  2. If I were to use a dedicated computer (Logitech Roommate, Intel NUC, ...), would Zoom Rooms let me output call audio to two peripherals at the same time (1. USB audio peripheral for the room (a sound bar for instance), and 2. the front audio jack connected to assistive listening transmitter) ?
  3. Is my only choice to use an audio splitter after the selected audio output? This seems messy.

I hope this makes sense. Thanks so much!

Léo.

I would like to have ability to enable Room Controls, both native and third-party, but with the additional option of choosing which is displayed on the Zoom Rooms Controller. Additionally I would also like the option to completely disable the Room Controls button from the touch panel UI, whilst keeping the functionality the Native Room Controls feature provides.

For the long term I would like to see Native Room Controls add more options to replace the need to use third party controls. Examples of these UI elements can be found in Extron/Crestron/Q-SYS integrations (faders, better feedback, etc).

Calendar authorization expired. Please reauthorize on the web portal.

I’m noticing that my Zoom Room calendar integration prompts me to reauthorize every 30ish days. Has anyone else run into this? Is it normal to have to reconnect on a regular cadence, or could something be misconfigured?

We have a 7-member board that physically meets in a room with 20-30 seated guests. We want to Zoom the meeting so that off-site individuals can listen in. The problem is that off-site individuals cannt clearly hear the audio from audience individuals who may be speaking in the onsite location. What kind of audio equipment is needed, and how does it interface with the Zoom program? We currently have one individual in the onsite location with a laptop running the Zoom application.
