I just updated to the latest version.  Now, I have a new whiteboard.  The annotation tools show up on the left-hand side for a half a second and then go away.  I have been unable to pull them back up.  I've seen a few solutions here but nothing has worked.  If there is a fix or a way to go back to classic please let me know.

Thanks!

Hi,  I am new to this.  I have a chromebook and I try to run zoom on it.  I installed the app and have tried running meeting from both the browser and the app.  In both cases I have encountered one common issue that I really need help with.

When I start my meeting (being a host), I can create a new whiteboard and I can use the pen tools on the left to change pen type, color, etc which is great.  However, I found that the participants cannot write on the whiteboard. I have tried to use a window based PC to start the meeting and I think can give remote access right for the participants and they will be able to write on the whiteboard to interact with me.  How can I do this on a chromebook?

Also, a second problem is that when I close the first whiteboard, and when I create a second whiteboard, I (the host) no longer see the "pen tools" on the left and I can only move the whiteboard, and not able to write on it even as a host.  How come?  I have to leave the meeting and then re-join in order to see the pen tools re-appear on the left.  What am I missing?  Again, this is never a problem when using the window based zoom.

Hello. I am using very small whiteboards. When I try to open them in a new window or the Desktop app, they almost always get stuck on the “shortcut tip” screen sometimes for minutes and won’t display the content.

Is there a shortcut to dismiss this screen? An option to turn it off for this Board?

I am about to share a whiteboard with over 100 users, and I don’t want them to have the same issue (people I had test it out for me did have the issue too).

Participants are unable to annotate the whiteboard anymore.

It seems like an organisational access issue, but it is just a personal account, so I don't have an organisation....

In 'in meeting whiteboard' settings under 'whiteboard sharing defaults' I get the error "your admin has disabled this setting for your organisation".

Any help greatly appreciated!

Hello,

I am having a problem with the white board. I am a paid user using  Zoom (Version: 5.17.2 (29988)) on Windows 11. Those who join my meetings are also using the most current version, although some of them are using windows 10.

The problem is that if a whiteboard is opened by the host (me) or anyone else, only the host (me) has a menu on the left. The others just have a blank whiteboard. Then can see whatever I type or upload etc, but they have no options to do anything. They are only able to view everything I do. All others can open a whiteboard but do not have any menu.

In the whiteboard settings on the web page (Settings>Whiteboard>In Meeting Whiteboards) I have everything checked as "Host and Participants".

Is there some other setting I am missing? I want to set it up so everyone in the meeting can open a whiteboard and use the whiteboard to add text, images etc.

Please advise

Thank you

I am running an Asus Windows 10 compter. I am a trainer and I create customized templates which go along with the training materials.  I cannot get Zoom to allow me to use the personal templates within the breakout rooms and give them functionality.   I have looked for videos but all the videos discuss the whiteboard but nothing about my templates or using personal templates. What must I do to use only personal templates in the breakout rooms?

The screen will zoom in automatically when I write.

When using the 'Whiteboard' on an iPad, the screen automatically expands when I write letters.

Is there a way to keep the screen fixed without zooming in?

Sending whiteboard and screenshots automatically to participants once the meeting ends.

Hello. I'd like to know if there's a way that participants receive automatically the files created during a meeting (screenshots and whiteboards). I thought of a workflow but any other way would work as well. I use Calendly for scheduling meetings. Show more

We tried to have a meeting in which we shared links to multiple whiteboards we created, thinking their group could access their own personal whiteboard while discussing over zoom. We were blocked from sending them to users outside of our "organization". How do we turn this off, so we can share them with external people? The buttons inside the whiteboard were greyed out.

At this point, we may as well use Mural.
