Poly VVX 250 Rebooting

We are having major issues with our Poly vvx 250's rebooting after internal and external calls. It is not all the time and not all of the phones. Is anyone else experiencing this? We are working with Poly and Zoom.

maybe the issue is that the wrong version of poly software is on the poly vvx 250 phones thar are rebooting.

please see what version is required and check to see the correct version is installed on the poly vvx 250.

 

to determine what version is required, please see the poly engineering advisory to identify whether you have old or new poly vvx 250 hardware revision.

as noted in zoom support article, different poly software is required for old and new poly vvx 250 hardware revisions.

for troubleshooting purposes, you can try resetting a poly vvx 250 that is rebooting to factory default.

 

another possibility, the poly vvx 250 phones that are rebooting are defective.

There's a large batch of defective VVX250's that reboot randomly while on POE, make small hissing or coil whine noise and eventually start boot looping or rebooting every time you do something that draws power like speakerphone.

We have over 400 phones that were RMA from Poly. It has been the Poly VVX 250 REV A's.
