Zoom meeting integration with simulteneous interpretation equipment - Shure microflex complete

I am working on a hybrid meeting setup with both physical and remote attendance and also with a language interpretation. Interpretation happens in the interpretation equipment and then fed/integrated with virtual Zoom interpreters using laptops using USB audio interface card.

I am looking for an alternative way of achieving the same.

You need to:

1. Get the Interpreters setup on ZOOM on the appropriate language channels. This will allow all online users to use the interpretation.

2. To get the Interpretation back into your meeting room/conference room, you have two options:

option 1: feed the interpretation into the PA system which will force all attendees to listen to the same language interpreted.

option 2: provide headphone devices for the interpretation with the interpretation fed into a specific channel. These are classical headsets for attendees to listen to the interpretation that they hang onto their belts and have a headset / ear-set to listen to the interpretation. This method is useful when you have an event with more than one language being interpreted and attendees need to choose the language that they want to listen to.

I DONOT recommend using the zoom app on a mobile device with the language channel selected in a conference room as the wifi/mobile internet gets clogged up and overloaded and the quality drops drastically (not a zoom problem, but an internet networking limitation)

Hello, thanks for this great information. I'm setting up a hybrid meeting in 3 languages with interpretation needed both online and in-person and wonder if you can help me with some further info. Do you know if this requires an additional interpretation team in the conference room if using option 2? And is a Zoom meeting sufficient or is it better to use Zoom Rooms? Thanks for any help you can provide.
