Zoom cart not upgradin to the latest version and not working to start meetings until upgrade is done

Hello, Zoom community,

At my workplace, we started to upgrade/update our zoom system entirely to the latest version it required (5.14.0). All of our individual units were upgraded except one. It is a Zoom cart device for our executive meetings. That device doesn't upgrade beyond (5.9.4). Every time we try to start a new meeting or join a meeting, from that device, it says it can't join/start because it needs to be upgraded.

At my organization we have tried the following, not in this particular order:

- Uninstall the device and install it again.

- Went through different configurations to upgrade and it says "it is the latest version" (5.9.4).

- Remove the device from the system and add it no another system to try to upgrade or see if this works, but didn't.

The device is in good health. Please any advice would be highly appreciated.

hi luisrodriguez,

i suggest using cleanzoom to completely remove zoom and then download latest client.

Run CleanZoom to remove Zoom completely

To remove Zoom completely, including any configuration filesrun CleanZoom on your device.

  1. Download and run CleanZoom.
Note: Use of the clean uninstaller will completely remove the Zoom desktop client, as well as the Zoom plugin for Outlook. The Outlook add-in, Chrome/Firefox extensions, and Google Workspace add-on are unaffected.
  2. Once completed, download Zoom from our download center and reinstall

If your Zoom client isn't updating to the latest version automatically, you might want to try manually downloading and installing the latest version from the Zoom website. Sometimes, network issues or permissions can hinder automatic updates. After updating, ensure that you restart the Zoom client to apply the changes. If the issue persists, you can also try uninstalling the current version and then reinstalling the latest version from scratch. Additionally, checking your firewall or antivirus settings to ensure they're not blocking Zoom updates could be helpful. Finally, reaching out to Zoom support for further assistance might provide insights tailored to your specific situation.

  1. Check Internet Connectiontechsslassh  Ensure that your device has a stable internet connection. Sometimes, update ithe latest version compatible with your operating system. Once downloaded, run the installer to update your Zoom client manually.

  2. Clear Cache and Temporary Files: Sometimes, cached data or temporary files can interfere with the update process. Try clearing the cache and temporary files on your device and then attempt to update Zoom again.

  3. Check System Requirements: Ensure that your device meets the minimum system requirements for the latest version of Zoom. If your device does not meet the requirements, you may encounter issues with the update process.
