Can anyone help me connect my church's sound system mic into my Zoom meeting?  It uses a standard audio jack.

Hi @Jweitzel

What kind of computer or device will you be using to connect to Zoom - like a laptop. desktop, or mobile device?

Are you bringing video into Zoom from your church also?

Rupert

I'm using a Windows 10 laptop.  The video comes in from a USB Webcam.  I connect the sound system mic via an audio cable.  The sound for the participants if muffled.

Okay, no problem.

Go into your Audio Settings in Zoom and:

Under Music and Professional Audio:

-check Show in-meeting option to enable "Original Sound"

-check high fidelity music mode

-uncheck echo cancellation

-check Stereo Audio

Then, when you are in your actual Meeting, you will see a button top-left in your Zoom window:

Original Audio - set this to ON.

This should do the trick.

Hi, Jweitzel

Please explain in more detail.
First, audio. How are your speakers and microphone connected to your computer?
How many audio jacks do you have on your laptop?
If there is one, it may be a combo jack with an integrated microphone and speaker.
In that case, you may have to use a conversion adapter.
There are several types of conversion adapters, so are you using the right one?

If that is difficult for you, you may want to use a USB audio conversion adapter.
