Enable Blurred background

I have done everything possible to enable a blurred background and have logged in to my account 12 times now and logged out again each time after enabling Virtual Backgrounds in the In Meeting (Advanced) section. 

Each time I go back to my Zoom.us meeting setting on my laptop, no option for a blurred background appears. 

So, I log off.  Log in to the website, review my settings, check that Virtual Background is enabled and log out.  And repeat.

I have watched the "How To" video THREE times now and I have followed each step - beginning to feel like a total idiot. 

I have even deleted the app and reinstalled it again - TWICE.  Also tried the "support" (joke) Bot and followed its step by step process FOUR times.

One of my contracts insists that I uses Zoom.  Definitely prefer Microsoft Teams, but I really have option about using Zoom now. 

PLEASE, SOMEONE....HELP!!!!  I am honestly at a loss on what to do.

Are you using the Zoom software application, or connecting via a web browser?

 

Are you using a Windows PC or an Apple computer - and does it meet the system requirements for Blurred Background/Virtual Backgrounds?
