Kahoot - Verify if Students Intalled Kahoot or Not

We deliver live classes to students and would like to use Kahoot. Our students use their own personal accounts. Does anyone know if we are able to check which students have installed Kahoot or not on their personal accounts? Can that information be "called" somehow when they enter our Zoom room? Can students agree to send us a confirmation after installation?

If a student does not have Kahoot installed, we would like to show them a message that advises them to install it prior to entering the live class in zoom.

Hi @NikiDFLA

Unfortunately, if the students are using their own personal Zoom accounts, then you have no insights into whether they have a particular app installed or not. If they were all members of your account, an admin could view who has each App installed via the Marketplace admin controls.

If you'd like to have them prove to you that the app is installed, that would be something you would need to facilitate yourself, as Zoom has no such way to check or require that before joining a particular meeting.

Hope that helps and please make sure to mark the solution as accepted if this information is what you needed.

Hi Niki, you can use Vidya.us  (a Kahoot alternate) to ask questions in class. Students need to be enrolled in your "Vidya Class" once and then you can see which students are (and are not) live and attentive in each session. It also supports guest mode, so students need not necessarily install the app to use it. The teacher can launch the app and invite everyone to use it without them having to install it.
