Piano and voice lessons over Zoom

Hi everyone,

What tips and tricks have one-on-one music teachers found to be useful when teaching over Zoom?

I am trying to help someone who is about to start teaching piano and voice lessons over Zoom. I am familiar with the usual Original Sound settings, but I am wondering if anyone has any deeper insights into settings or equipment setups - or just general experiences.

Thanks,

Rupert

For the piano lessons, if there's a way to do so, have the teacher set up a second camera that is recording their hands on the keys so the student can see the movement of the hands/fingers and exactly what keys they are playing.  I'm not sure if it would be better to have the camera overhead somehow or connected near the side of the piano, they'll have to experiment with camera placement based on the camera they have, if a second one is available.

Not done on Zoom, but here's an example: https://www.panopto.com/blog/the-student-view-using-video-to-enhance-teaching-and-learning-for-music...
