i have been using zoom chats for a while.. suddenly today it came with a message that i can not send a message to one of my coworker because he is not my contact.

even though he is my contact.

so here is what we tried to fix

1. we removed each other from our contacts

2. we added back

3. even now if we try to send a text it comes with same message 

"you cannot chat with XYZ because m t is not your contact."

 

we both can chat to other people but cant to each other.

 

any help will be appreciated.

I am experiencing the same bug. I have updated and still cannot resolve it. Can chat some but not others. Very weird.

i have tried on windows, mac, iphone and android. this issue is across all platforms..

Same bug for me - two colleagues I can't directly chat with suddenly cannot see me, though appear in my contact list as normal with their availability.  We can chat with each other in same group/channels we are both in, however.  One seems to have solved it by sending me a new invite/friend request, waiting to try that with the other.
